Wattage Guide
Please use energy saving bulbs with the Smartylamps shades.
Smartylamps pendant lampshades - MAX 11 Watt energy bulb (which emits a light equivalent to a 60watt incandescent bulb)
Small and narrow lampshades and free- standing Smartylamps - MAX 8 Watt energy bulb (which emits a light equivalent to a 40watt incandescent bulb)
We do not advise the use of the old style incandescent / filament bulbs, as they get too hot. You can buy energy bulbs that give off different light emissions such as warm white, white, daylight as well as fluorescent and even dimmable ones.
Other wattage conversions:
5 watt energy bulb = Replacement for 25W incandescent light bulb
8 watt energy bulb = Replacement for 40W incandescent light bulb
11watt energy bulb = Replacement for 60W incandescent light bulb
14 watt energy bulb = Replacement for 75W incandescent light bulb
18 watt energy bulb = Replacement for 100W incandescent light bulb
