I run a house for wounded Royal Marines. They come to me in groups of 10, 9 wounded and one officer in charge. I send them out on different activities every day, kayaking, water sailing, fishing and now they’ll be assembling Smartylamps from flatpack kits!

Part of the fun for the men is the distraction of the house, it’s all about distraction and making the men smile. I would love to have the lampshade on one of the hallways going up and eventually fill the house with your works of art. The men enjoyed the first challenge so will order a giant flat pack for the next nine groups that arrive next summer. Lovely lamps keep up the good work... I tried a cheaper one from eBay recently and it was very flimsy and smaller than they suggested so I've ended up using it as a table lamp instead! Learned my lesson there! - Joanna from Cardiff
